Internal Referrals
Internal referrals can be used to capture a near-term opportunity (work could occur within the next 12 months) that you’ve discussed with a client and the timing is right to loop in one of our service line team members.
Adding an Internal Referral
Each of these options allows you to enter a referral in ABLE:
Select the ADD REFERRAL button in the top navigation bar
-OR-
The green Add Referral button on the Referrals Page

To send an internal referral:

- Select the the Internal checkbox next to the Outbound referral option.
- Service Line / Service Line Member* - this is who you are giving the referral to. Select the Service Line first and then the Service Line Member.

- Referral Owner* - this is who is giving the referral. If you are entering your own referral, you would select ‘Me’. If you are entering this referral on behalf of someone else, choose their name.
- Description* - provide information about the referral in the description to give the service line team member enough details to work with.
- Created Date - this is the date that you sent the referral. The field defaults to the current date, but you can backdate if needed.
- Expected to Close By - this is an estimation of when you would expect the the referral / deal to close.
- Won/Lost Date - if you are documenting a referral that has already been won or lost, populate the date here.
